@Mollz💌 Thank you for commenting! You got this life thing in the bag ☺️
If I'm being honest... I've always hated Thanksgiving. My whole family together in one place never tends to work out well. I've realized that creating new memories with the family I've created instead of doing the whole family works out better for everyone involved. Creating and keeping boundaries was a goal I needed in my 30s and looks like you're killing it. Love that you are traveling too! That's a dream I've been working on. The holiday season is whatever and wherever you're happiest.
I love your mindset! We don’t really have any family in our lives either, so holidays can feel lonely. I don’t really like Thanksgiving either, but for Christmas we’re trying to establish new traditions and make lots of memories with our kids. Celebrating in the way that brings you the most happiness and inner peace is where it’s at 😊
@Jamie It's weird because my family loves to party together but then not supportive of real life chronicles so I have been stepping back from birthday and family gatherings because it feels so fake to me. And thank you so much!! I've learned that traveling can start small. Just learning to enjoy your own company is the start( the movies solo, dinner, taking a walk etc..). Keep working towards your dream because it's a reality in the making❤️
@Rebecca You're so right ☺️. That's what the holidays are for, to see the light in our children's eyes filled with laughter and memories to come. I've reached the point of my life where I'm no longer working hard to be seen by my family. Cheers to new memories ahead ❤️
I’m not even in my 30s but I can relate to a lot of what you said.
