My daughter is also 2 and half, I put knickers on her to bed but put the pull up over the knickers so she had the feeling of being wet at night, she had 1 night where she did a small wee and didn’t like the feeling, since then she has been dry.
It's a hormonal thing you can't train it. My daughter didn't wee at night as soon as she was potty trained but my sons been potty trained for 6 months and still needs a nappy at night. My nephew stopped using one at age 5. Don't worry about it eventually she will have a week where she is dry and then you can try without. I call my sons nappy his night time undies you can get pull ups with disney characters on them just don't use the word nappy and make it a normal thing x
@Jess thank you for this advice. I’m in no rush for her to be dry at night and didn’t know it was a hormone thing so thanks for the heads up on that! I suppose it will just come with time. I could try Disney pull ups and call them night time pants. She’s literally fuming about wearing pull ups to bed and sobs her eyes out telling me she’s a big girl but just worried about her not wearing one at all especially with her being in our bed at the minuet as we can’t wash our bedding every day. Hopefully the Disney pull ups are more exciting for her. So tricky at this age as she’s so stubborn and independent and knows her own mind. X
@Tara that’s good advice I could try this! Thank you lovely x
Side note - we had an attempted break in 3 weeks ago and it’s freaked me & my little one out so she sleeps in my bed at the minute, so washing a superking duvet every day if she has any accidents isn’t possible. Just wondering what others have found helpful to train them overnight?
