Solo journey

Is anyone else doing this alone? Me and my ex partner split when I was 9 weeks, long story but baby was planned. Whilst he’ll be in babies life, and we’ll co parent I’m so sad for the traditional family unit I now won’t have. I just wondered if anyone else is going through this and has any tips? Pregnancy is already so lonely without the added no partner issue.

Me and my ex split up when I was 27weeks. He’s still around for support and will be here for baby. But I’m in the same boat as you that I’m so sad we’re not going to be the little family that I imagined & I now feel so lonely in my pregnancy. I’ve got great support from friends and family but it’s just not quite the same x

My partner had mental health problems and left me at about 28 weeks, I’m now 31 weeks and it looks like he is getting back with his ex who is also pregnant with someone else’s child! I’m honestly broken at the minute but I get how you feel, this is my first child and I had all these ideas of how it was going to be, this beautiful family unit and it’s all been taken from me, it’s horrible! My mental health is all over the place with it and I don’t even know if he wants to be involved in her life! I hate how all the apps are tailored to being in relationships too, I’m sick of getting notifications saying what your partner can do for you or what your partner should be packing in your maternity bag!!

@Megan really sorry to read that 🤍 I know it’s so hard to go through this alone. At least we have this community and you’ll soon have your baby x
