Delayed potty training

Hi! My little girl is 3.5 year old. Over the half term I did my best to get her on potty training then I realised she is still not clearly interested in it at all! But I don't want to force her. Is anyone is in the same situation as me? 🥱

Yes my son has no interest at all, I’ll keep prompting him with his potty but I won’t try and force it he will do it when he’s ready

Have they picked their own pants which they like? Just out them in them. They will have accidents but you will also notice their cues on when to tell them to go potty.

We just went for a day and said, you’re ready not to wear nappies in the day anymore. And have a week of staying close to home, three days at home, of just going naked below the belly and offering to go to the toilet. After half a day I was done in…but my husband kept going and actually it was amazing how the next day all the ‘feelings’ and toilet all began to link in. Unless we give space for them to try I’m not sure some would ever learn!? Initially we tried the leaving the potty out and waiting but apparently some say that doesn’t really work! So just need to be a time parents are ready for it and then get the potty out and let them know! We also read books about using toilet/potty etc a few weeks before so we were prepared!

It’s so hard! You’ve got this mamas!
