I had an IUD for 5-7 years. I got pregnant 3 months after removal.
Took the combi pill for 6 years and got pregnant first cycle I stopped. Took it for another 18m between babies and got pregnant again first cycle.
I was on the pill for 14 years and it took about 8 months of actively trying. I just want to know if there is any advice to give her. She is on month 7 since IUD removal and has been tracking ovulation
I was on the pill for 10 years and it took me almost 2 to get pregnant with my first.. but by the end of being on the pill my body and hormones were all out of wack. It took 2 months of trying instead of avoiding sex during ovulation to get pregnant with my second
Not to be super nosey, but do you know how she is tracking ovulation? Is she using ovulation tests, basal body temperature, or basing it off her cycle length? I tried the BBT method but couldn't maintain consistency every day for it to be reliable. I used ovulation tests and started testing twice daily two days after my period ended. I tested twice a day in case my peak was less than 12 hours and I would have missed it by testing once a day.
Took me a month after coming off the combined pill with my first. With my second, it took me 4 months. Now with my third, it took me 16 months after having my implant removed!
@Kelli she uses an app and strips but I don’t know how frequently she is testing and how soon after period. I think she just tests when the app tells her she might ovulating
My recommendation would be to start testing shortly after her period ends and a day after her peak measurement. She may ovulate earlier or later than what her app predicts. I ovulated earlier than what my app (Flo) predicted so if I waited for the predicted window I would have missed it. That is what happened to me the first month I started testing.
@Kelli thank you u will let her know. She might be testing too late and then has a shorter window. For me I didn’t use an app but I know I most likely conceived only 3 days after the end of my period
I was on the pill for 14 months after I had my daughter stopped in March and fell pregnant in may when she was 16 months
Pill for 16 years, pregnant my first cycle off the pill, 1 month. Used the Ovia app to track ovulation
It took me 5 months but I wasn’t tracking right at first. I was tracking based off a 28 day cycle and I have a 24 day cycle. When I started tracking based off that it only took a month.
She may not have the average cycle. I have a 24 day cycle. I chopped off 4 days off the typical peak day and that month I got pregnant. So if it’s a 26 day cycle you’d take away 2 days or if it’s a 30 day you’d add 2 days to when peak ovulation is, and so on.
I was on Mirena IUD. I had it since a teenager and I’m in my mid 20’s now. It took me 4-5 months each pregnancy. I’m currently pregnant with baby #2 due in December.

1 month after stopping each time
I was on the mini pill for 8 years before having my first; it took me 2 months to get pregnant. I fell pregnant within a matter of weeks this time round
