How to keep the patch on

Hey girls, I recently got put on the patch as I’ve never been on contraception so thought it would be the easiest. Today was the first day of it being on and it’s already peeling round the edges. I’ve put a plaster over it but worried it’ll come of or isn’t effective. Any advice?

Where are you placing it? Are you making sure your skin is completely dry before placing it on?

Not trying to scare you but I got pregnant on the patch with my beautiful son now. That is irrelevant though as people have fallen pregnant on all types of contraceptives. However my patch was on my calf, so maybe don’t put it there. Before falling pregnant I had it on my upper arm and was safe for over 2 years xx

I used to use the patch, don’t cream before wherever your placing it and after a couple days it does start to peel around the edges but that never affected anything

@Emily I have it on my lower back. Heard that and ur arm is best?

@Maia Thankyou!!

@Stephanie lower back and Yh no lotions or products. I was told they would sick even if u love a lot in ur sleep

can u use the patch while bf

@Kee nope! Definitely not, it dries up the milk ducts. Happened to me

i had the patch on my back, not quiet where my bra strap was. my husband would apply it for me after a shower and after alcohol wipes. he would SMASH it and we didn’t have a problem. i had to get off it though because it made my periods HORRID

I’m allergic to the patch sadly :((
