Xonvea and driving

Hi team, Firstly, I’ve been sick with HG for my entire pregnancy (7 months now) and only just found this group and (though I am so sorry that you’re all going through this nightmare) it’s been really comforting to see I’m not alone. My Q is this: I’ve just been put on xonvea as sickness got so much worse as I started 3rd tri. The leaflet says don’t drive! I’m only on one a day at the moment - have people been able to drive and work while on xonvea?

Hi, I have been on xonvea since my first trimester and I am now in my third trimester. I have still had sickness but a lot more manageable and not every day so they have definitely helped! I stopped driving for a few weeks when my sickness was really bad, which was also the time I was given xonvea. I started driving again during my second trimester and have been since. I have worked the whole time while taking them too. But everyone’s body reacts different to medication, so do what feels right for you x

I don’t know how you are only on 1 a day! I take the full dose of 2 and night, one in morning and one in afternoon. Massively helps even though I am still dry heaving at times. I drive to and from work and to home visits with no problem

I’m on a mix of xonvea and 3x something else… seems to be working (first combo that has !). I’m starting low dose xonvea and will ramp up if it stops controlling the vomiting.

The leaflet also says take half an hr before eating and 2 hrs after eating which is impossible, particularly if grazing keeps the sickness at bay. When I spoke to the pregnancy sickness support line they said take when you can and don’t worry about the time scales. Like the previous queen says just do what feels right for you ! Xx
