Is this rude?

If the interviewer does not show up for 15 minutes is it okay to leave without contacting anyone?

I usually contact the interviewer to show that I showed up, but I generally lose respect for them if they can't remember our meeting. But that said I've also given some grace if they repaired it by being on time and apologetic in scheduling a new time.

Yeah I contacted them twice to see if they were still coming 🙃this was for a school so I thought they’d be a little more professional! Very disappointed and I’ve still had no response

It can happen to anyone, I had one where the interviewer lost connection to the Internet, and occasionally a true emergency happened. Once a normal fluke, like the interviewer hadn't slept the night before and apologized for missing the appointment and rescheduled and didn't miss that appointment. But I also had one for example that we set up an appointment and then twenty minutes before the lady asked to reschedule and I agreed. Then I arrived at the place and time and she texted me that she couldn't meet for another forty minutes from then at a different location. I told her I hoped to find a job that respected my time and that I was no longer interested in the position 🤣🤣🤣 So I'd say it depends. Sometimes it's a normal mistake or incident and sometimes it's complete disrespect and flakiness.

I would ask at the front desk, maybe they know more or they would get in touch with someone else. I would leave if I hear nothing and have no time to carry on with the interview even if they arrive.

I would probably let someone know that I showed up but it would definitely put me off working there

No time to waste you’re right

Maybe there was an emergency. So strange to be ghosted like that. I’d let someone know and give them the benefit of the doubt.

That is strange but if it was for a school, anything could have happened that was more important than the interview. So it could've caused the delay. I would just let someone know or ask the front desk.

I got told the head teacher was Ill and wasn’t planning on doing the interviews today. My only issue is the school opens at 7:30am and my interview was at 10am so if they knew this I feel like I should’ve been told before making my way there especially as this was the second time rescheduling. They did ask to reschedule again but I declined as I didn’t get any answers at the time of me asking and it took a whole hour for some sort of correspondence.

Yeah, if it's the second time I wouldn't move forward with them. They'll only just continue to do that if you get hired.
