Santa

Hi everyone, This seems like a really silly question but what is everyones take on Santa and how he works.. My little boy is 3 and very much excited about christmas and Santa coming this year but what do you do regarding presents? This is his first proper christmas of understanding:. I’ve heard so many people do it different ways and i’m trying to figure out what to tell him. Does Santa bring all of the presents? Just a main big present? I don’t know what to do, could you tell me how you do it and why if possible? Thank you

Something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read and something they don't realise they want or need

My daughter is 2 so we don’t really have this yet but when I was growing up, we always got one bigger gift from Santa and the stocking stuffers and the rest were from family. My husband and I started giving my daughter just one bigger gift from Santa and the rest from us. This year we got her a giant play mat for her room that’s from Santa

As a teacher Santa brings a special gift. It’s easier to explain to kids that one lot of parents can afford to buy more, much harder to explain why Santa brought one child a handful of things and another child everything they could ever want. I’ve had young children ask me if they’ve been bad because Santa didn’t bring as much which is heartbreaking

I always thought it odd how my parents never got me anything for Christmas - it’s because they spent so much for Santa 😂😂😂 Anything you do will be magical for him 🥰

We do one thing from Santa, mainly for the reason mentioned above. I would be heartbroken for a child who wished for an iPad and all the kids at school got one off Santa apart from them! We buy her main present, and Santa gets one thing. Last year it was a car seat for her dolls🤍

In our house Santa brings 1 gift under the tree, doesn't have to be big, just something nice and we do stockings too so he does that. The rest is from us. We differentiated it with different wrapping paper as lets be honest, what kid is reading gift tags 😂

Big/high dollar gifts from parents, regular gifts from Santa. I did this so my kids didn’t go into school bragging about what Santa got them when not all kids are as fortunate.

I don't agree with "Santa" taking credit for all the expensive presents. He brings the stocking gifts and mummy and daddy do the big main presents. Want her to appreciate how hard we work to get her what she wants at Christmas!

We do the Xmas eve box from santa

Santa brings one gift, not the biggest, and stockings. Everything else is from us (or family & friends)

We have decided a stocking from Santa with smaller craft type presents and the bigger ones are under the tree from family. ❤️

We do stockings from Santa, under the tree from us. Although my son will say that I brought them and gave them to Santa to give to him, as he likes the fact Santa had all his presents in his sleigh🫠😅

Thank you everyone. I will be doing smaller presents from santa and the stocking then the rest from me🥰
