Clueless mum

So my 2 year old has been using a potty for at least a month now, he goes whenever he needs too and if there’s not a potty around he’ll come and tell me when he needs to go (he doesn’t speak yet so he just tugs on his private area and that’s how I know) he wears pull ups when we’re not in the house but he doesn’t show me any indication of him needing to go with a pull up on ( I should mention when we’re home his lower half is nude) what’s the next step ? How do I get him to use the toilet whilst we’re out? How do I get him out of pull ups? Does he need to know how to pull his pants up and down before anything else? Please help 😂

how did you potty train him in the first place by the age of 2? lol asking because my son is 17 months and i am wanting to potty train him but it doesn’t seem like he’s ready? even though sometimes he will bring me a diaper when he wants a change…

@Joy we tried him on the toilet first and he wasn’t having it so got him a potty, he was apprehensive at first but I just sat on it and pretended to wee and started clapping for myself 😂 I said to him ‘look mummy did a wee in the potty do you think you can too’ it took a few tries but when he eventually did I clapped for him, gave him a high five and a little chocolate as a treat every time he did it for the first couple of days and then he just started using it himself. Honestly it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be as I had been dreading it

aww, thats awesome!! we’re having visitors and with all the holidays.. i think i’ll just wait for all that to pass before potty training. i have tried putting him on the toilet and he has gone before like around 10-11 months.. and i tried again recently but he’s scared of it. i wonder if i should just get him his own too..
