Potty training question

I don’t know if my little boy is ready or not? He is telling me when he has had a poo in his nappy and asking me to change it but he isn’t telling me when he is having a wee. We’ve had the potty in the living room for months now and he has only sat on it a few times. He asks for his nappy to be put on all the time and gets upset if we don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’s hard to know for sure unless you try, ours never did either in terms of telling us but we did 4 days intensive training and it’s going really well so far 🤞🏻

We are in the same situation. Once he has the poo in the nappy he's calling me to change it. As for the wee, HV said to me to put a cloth in the nappy as he won't feel that he done wee. The nappy absorbs the wee and he cannot feel difference only with poo. We will try properly our potty training during Xmas break

We’re the same; my toddler has shown sometimes signs of wanting potty training but then seems to stall or go backwards 🤷‍♀️ I feel our potty in the front room is now part of the deco 🤦‍♀️ at nursery he rips his nappies off and happily sits on the toilet/ potty but it’s a different story at home. I am thinking of doing the 4 day cold turkey method over Christmas as he’s changing rooms at nursery in April and I feel that’s such a big change that I rather he’s potty trained beforehand.
