Teething

How long does the teething pain last? I know it can take a long time for a tooth to errupt, but Google keeps saying the pain and fussiness usually lasts for a week. Asking because my LO stopped sleeping a few nights ago, cries every time he's put down, and won't settle - like at all. It's so much worse than the sleep regression. Just now, he took forever to settle to sleep, kept spitting his dummy which he usually loves, and wanted to chew on hands instead. He also spits saliva in his sleep. It's so difficult to see him like that. Does it come in waves or is it just constant problem until the tooth comes out?

It comes in waves, my little girl started teething at 2 months old. At 3 months got teeth bumps in the gums and at 4 months has two front bottom teeth. It takes ages. When the teeth actually start coming through they are less fussy then when the teeth are under the gums.

Started at 2 months. She is 5 months now and no teeth have came out

Will your little one take a little nurofen to help him get off to sleep? X

@Jen is Nurofen better than Calpol paracetamol?

@Ilenia it’s ibuprofen and teething is listed on the box. I’ve found it’s helped her have some pain relief x
