I'm on the mini pill (2 years post partum) I've never had a period whilst on the mini pill (I was on it before my little one too) BUT I think it is different for everyone x
@Alex did you get pregnant with your Lo while actively on it?
I was on the mini pill and started having breakthrough bleeding which looked like a period. It was so heavy at the beginning I thought I was having a miscarriage 😭It lasted almost 4 weeks before I took myself off it. My doctor told me some women can bleed while taking it and it seems to just be luck who bleeds and who doesn’t ffs. I was on it for a couple of years before deciding to try for baby and I didn’t have any bleeding so don’t think it agrees with me now 🥺 x
I was on it for 10 years prior to first baby and then another year in between first and second babies. I had bleeds every 3-4 months which I believe means I ovulated 2 weeks prior. So yes I did ovulate but not every month. Currently have a mirena IUS which i believe works in a similar way and so far haven't had any bleeding and it's been 2 months. Interested to see if it's similar x
@Amirah No we didn't, I came off it and took us about a year to conceive and then I went back on it at about 3 months postpartum x
I am on the mini pill have been for about 5 or so years. I came of it to have my LG and then straight back on it after having her. I have always had a little bleed on this pill even before having her. I would bless maybe every 2-3 months for around a day, it wasn't much at all and wouldn't class it as a period as so minimal. I think it works differently with every person!
Currently snuggling my newborn who was conceived while I was in the mini pill the first time lol
I’m on the mini pill and I’m almost 13 months postpartum and I haven’t got my period. I don’t know if It’s because of the mini pill or because I’m still breast feeding my son.
