Potty training

Have been potty training for over a month now with very little progress. When did you start taking them out in an underwear? We haven’t done that yet but I’m thinking I should start soon.

as soon as we started potty training at 2 and a half she would go out in knickers we tried to stay in as much as we could they need to realise the feeling of being wet to realise they need a wee

@sophie my LB wets himself regularly and still hasn’t got to the point of telling me he needs to go 🥲

We did 3 days of bare bum and then introduced trousers with no underwear! It’s been about a month and I’ve put underwear on him today x

I had my little girl potty trained 1 week before her 2nd birthday. Nothing or just knickers on at home. Set a timer starting from 20 mins and take ur little one to the potty every 20 mins, if they have no accidents in 20 mins then add 5 more mins each time and find that sweet spot of how often ur little one goes (ours was 45 mins) and take them every that long religiously. When my LO started to wee on the floor i quickly put her on the potty and repeated wee wee and potty over and over again (repetition of the words is key) If she did even the slightest bit in the potty LOTS and LOTS of praise. Shouting "yay" jumping up and down saying well done. If she had an accident, no negativity!! Simple just say "if you need a wee wee we go potty" and show where the potty is. It took a week of A LOT of accidents and then she just got it. I never took her out until we had that sweet spot on point and then took my little one that often whilst out and about too.
