High risk, when do you see a consultant?

I'm classed as high risk, does anyone know when you're meant to see a consultant if you're going to be consultant led? One midwife told me I should see someone after my 20 week scan but I never did and then I haven't had an appointment come through since for seeing one and I'm 23 weeks tomorrow now... Should I chase it, or do you think it's still too early to be seeing a consultant to be discussing birth recommendations etc.. I have no idea what to expect

I was told I was meant to see someone at 16 weeks (and that they’d contact me), chased twice and appointment never happened. Definitely chase chase chase otherwise it won’t happen.

I saw mine at about 17 weeks I think, I’d chase up with the midwife just to be sure :)

I saw mine at 13 weeks and I’m seeing them after my 20 week scan next week. No harm in ringing and chasing it up, or have a look on your NHS app and maybe see if you have any appointments booked in? Hope you get it sorted! ☺️

I saw mine at 16 weeks and have another appointment at 24 weeks. Definitely chase it.

Thanks guys, thought it might be the case that I should've seen someone. I'll have a look on my pregnancy notes app and see if there's anything booked in, if not then I'll chase it!!

I saw one at my 20 week scan and as I'm having three growth scans I will see one at each of those appointments too

I saw mine at quite early but only because of recurrent miscarriages, now I’m not seeing him til I’m 28 weeks for the other things that class me as high risk. I got my appointment letter in September though, maybe try contact your midwife and ask her? X

What’s the reason that you’re high risk? I saw mine at 15/16 weeks for low Pap-A but the note for the reason wasn’t on there so sent away, I’m seeing them again now at 21 weeks after my 20 week scan

I have seen my once at my 20 week so I'd ask your midwife.

i am highrisk (as the blood flow from placenta to baby isnt the best) but im midwife led, i do have a consultant booked in for mid Jan to discus having a c section tho due to my last birth issues tho

@Amy-May official reason is high blood pressure (pre pregnancy), although the pregnancy has made it higher and I've been in and out of triage and had a hospital stay at 19 weeks due to it and medication adjusted several times. I don't know if I'm also possibly high risk due to 2 previous miscarriages.
