Once I started potty training, there were no diapers anymore, with the exception of naps and bedtime. If you haven't already, I'd recommend taking them away the rest of the time. And if he's waking up dry from sleep, then it's time to stop the diapers then too.
@Mikayla he definitely does wake up dry sometimes! it's clear i need to be more strict about it lol. do you also do diapers when you're out and about doing errands?
@destiny 💌 we did at first! But only for long drives. We luckily never had any accidents in the car and I always brought the potty with us (just in case).
@destiny 💌 yeah, I think if you were more strict and really limited diaper use, he'd probably do great! The fact that he does well without diapers on is great progress. But of course, with them on, the easier option is to just go. If you think about it, that's what they've been doing their entire lives so it's what feels most comfortable.
Oh and we also didn't introduce underwear until she was consistently using the potty without accidents. She would just wear pants without anything underneath.
@Mikayla i'm definitely going to try this! thank you so much
Yep! In the same boat! 🙃
