Changing Tables

I was at the arcade yesterday & my 22 month old is in the process of starting to potty train & needed to be changed. I enter the family restroom there & open the changing table to change her training pants. As I was changing her, I decided to read the warning label. It said something along the lines of babies under 12 months & 25 lbs should be placed on there. Now, my daughter is well over the age & weight limit for a changing table. Changing her standing up is a hassle & I'm not gonna lay her on a dirty bathroom floor. I know I can use the changing pad that comes with the diaper bag, but her head would still be hanging off of it & touching the floor. So what else am I supposed to do??

I have an suv a lot of the time I’ll change then there. My son wasn’t over 25lbs at the time but I placed him on one and it broke only reason. He didn’t fall is cause my knee caught the table. He was scared, I was scared and I’ve not put him on one since.

My daughter has always hated those changing tables so I use them as a last resort- we recently switched to pull-ups so I can do her pee diaper changes with her standing up and it’s great! For poo I will often use the trunk of my hatchback car

@Linda That's the thing. We don't have an SUV 😂 We have a tiny little 4 door truck with little to no room 🤣 My daughter is in training pants as well, but I still like to use a changing table, which is a bit easier for me lol. I guess I'll have to get used to changing her standing up 🫤🤷🏾‍♀️🤣

@Khyia This changes my entire perspective about how flimsy changing tables are now 😲 Glad he's okay! ❤️
