I thought so, I’ve spent the day getting the next to me etc up and ready and cleaning the home! Not that it’s dirty but hate strangers coming into my home, I’ve got things everywhere at the minute 🥲 thank you x
Yes, they didn't ask to see the sleeping arrangements. They give you the 'red book', which is what they record all your babies immunisations and growth etc in. She asked questions about what I intended to do about breastfeeding or bottle and then gave advice on that. She gave me a magazine which has loads of information in it about all sorts of newborn help. She also asked questions about medical history of both sides of the family and any help that was needed at school for the parents, it would have been useful if my husband was there too but we've had so many appointments lately so I didn't think it would matter if he was there or not. I was able to answer the questions on his behalf. They also asked questions around mental health. It was an hour long and it was more about giving information and finding out about the parents then the house xx
I’ve the midwife coming over tomorrow too regarding safe sleep though this is baby no 5 so know about it but guessing it’s a box they have to tick. Though I’m having the next to me downstairs but isn’t up until Christmas tree comes down as no space, cot is up and not ready as have cats and don’t want them to get used to sleeping in there
Apparently the home visit is supposed to be for the midwife to check if your house is ready to house a new born. But I haven't had the pleasure just yet
