Potty Training

am i a complete failure for not even trying to potty train yet? 🫠 we encourage it but he has no interest. I know it’ll take work but I read a lot of articles saying closer to 3 years can be easier on them and a higher success rate? maybe i’m just in denial. I work fulltime and it’s super hard to only be home weekends

Girl sameeeee, my son has 0 interest and no signs of readiness. I feel like trying when they’re not ready is worse than waiting until they are. You’re not a failure, we’re all doing our best

NOPE, not a failure At All! As someone who is professionally trained to work with young children for 20yrs+, and knows the current research, I won't be moving forward with potty training until 2.5yrs+. Pushing ahead when they have no interest, or worse yet are resistant, can set the process back and make it grueling. Waiting until 2.5yrs old can have good results in week(s) instead of months. Don't worry about the pressure of those around you

@Tasha-Lee thanks so much for this

@Lily thanks for your kind comment 😭
