Do you have active long term HPV?

I’m trying to figure out if I’m alone or not. I’ve had active HPV for years now. I’m not sure how many but maybe 7 years maybe longer. I did some research about long term HPV, and it says it can turn into cancer if your body can’t fight it off and it can turn into cancer at like 7 years. I’m pretty sure this is not good. Another colposcopy for me 🥺😢 Anyways do you have long term active HPV?

Yes same! I’ve had 3 colposcopies but never needed anything further than that. Just had my first cervical check in a few years bc I had 2u2 and still positive. No abnormal cells so just have to go back for another one in a year. It’s so scary isn’t it

I had it and it went away after years - the year i stopped smoking actually - it can go - just eat really healthy and don’t smoke obviously - you just need a really healthy immune system- it will fight it off

@Allie it sure is! I hate colposcopies. I’m going to have to schedule another one here soon. I’ve had far too many of them, and everytime I get bad anxiety. Since I’ve had it long term they recommend me not to do the leep. There’s never been a huge change to my cervix though. Makes me so nervous for the future.
