Did you struggle to conceive your first baby?

I mean did it take you a while to conceive? Did you need ivf? Have you got pcos or endometriosis which made it harder? Etc Also interested if you’ve got more than one did it happen quicker or slower with baby number 2?

It took about 6 months from me coming off the pill to get pregnant with my first. Got pregnant the first month I stopped taking the pill with my second!

@Emily similar to us! Took 7 months with baby #1 but happened the first month with baby #2!

I got pregnant in the second month of actively trying but miscarried at 7 weeks. After that we continued to actively try for another year. I begged my doctor for a referral to a fertility doctor but she kept saying “you conceived once already, so your body can do it” 🙄 Almost a year and a half after the miscarriage we got the referral to the fertility clinic but it was at the start of Covid so our appointment was cancelled 😭 Finally was able to get an appointment almost 2 years after we initially started trying. It still took several months to be assessed and booked in for an IUI. I had an IUI a few months later and conceived my twins on the first try. So from the time we started trying until the twins were born, it was just over 3 years, but it probably would’ve been quicker if my doctor gave me a referral when I first asked and my appointments weren’t rescheduled due to Covid.

I developed endometriosis around 22 because that is when my symptoms started. I am 31 now. My fiance and I struggled to get pregnant for 4 years. We had 1 misscariage during that time. Finally decided to get fertility help. We tried IUI 4 times over the course of a year and it didn't work. We finally were approved for a one time IVF funding from the government here in Ontario, Canada. My endo was so bad, out of 15 potential eggs, only 2 were good enough to make it into an embryo. I am now almost 24 weeks along with my first baby after my first transfer. Super grateful

15 months with my first and on month 4 TTC for #2 🤞🏻

It took two months to conceive my first, but a year and two losses to conceive my second

Started trying in 2019, pregnancy loss in 2021, then with some medication I had my daughter in 2023. I'm currently pregnant with my son now first try and with zero medication

It's important to remember every woman's body is different and every journey is different

I have severe endometriosis. Moderate adenomyosis. And mild pcos and still conceived first cycle of having my iud out. Miracles do happen or maybe all the vitamins and meditations I did really bad an impact! My gynae was genuinely shocked. My periods are absolutely debilitating. We used the sperm friendly lube from fertilily and the device like a moon cup that keeps sperm there for a while. Gynae did say age of mum and dad makes a big difference and we were 28 (me) and 30 (him) at conception

It took me a year to fall with my first baby after being on the pill for years! I then went back on my pill after having him, 2 years later, I stopped again for baby number 2 and fell within 3 months. 2 very different experiences x

Trying for about half a year now. And started looking for fertility clinics... I potentially have PSOC, during the ultrasound check the doctor said I do have signs of it, but the gyno said not to worry as long as I have a period

Yes took me 3 years but 6 weeks pregnant now

No I got pregnant within 2 to 3 months of getting off of birth control. It’s always been very fertile

I tried for 4 years, turned out I have PCOS and husband has Klinefelter syndrome which means he is infertile, so we did IVF with a sperm donor, have a 14 month old daughter now ☺️

I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis at 17, which is why I started trying so young. I had an IUFD after almost a year of trying and three months later got pregnant with my oldest. I got pregnant with my second on the first try 15 months later. I’ve been on the IUD 13 years which helped tremendously with my cycles, I had it removed to conceive this LO in December and got pregnant in September. I feel like the hardest was “jump starting” my body to conceive in the first place.

It took 18 months for us, we were scheduled to start IVF in July but got our positive at the end of May so we got very lucky. We had issues with male factor infertility and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and hashimotos- my husband got on clomid and I am taking levothyroxine.

Took us over 2 years to get our first born and medicated treatment ended up getting pregnant with IVF second is natural pregnancy 20 months post partum

Fell pregnant 2nd month of ttc, then at 8 weeks there was no heartbeat, d&c at 12 weeks (I was waiting for my body to naturally miscarry but it didn't happen and I was still having horrific morning sickness), then found out it was a molar pregnancy and needed monitoring (fortnightly blood tests) incase of regrowth and was advised to not ttc until cleared (a negative urine sample 4 weeks after hitting negative on the bloods). Didn't actively ttc but didn't necessarily prevent it, then kinda slipped into ttc just before my hcg went to negative. Hcg hit negative 9 weeks post d&c and I fell pregnant that month before I would've been cleared.

I have PCOS, and we got pregnant on the first try and I was 4mths shy of my 36th birthday. Now, I'm 37 and we have been trying since June and no luck yet.

I got pregnant a total of 3 times within 12 cycles of trying that were all chemicals or miscarriages. I got pregnant after roughly 13 or 14 cycles of trying and am currently 17 weeks so hoping this it is! I also don’t have PCOS and also tested for blood clotting disorders to see if that was part of the problem and nothing!
