Please don't judge for a stupid question

How do I feed little and often? I've been advised to do this until my GP can be bothered to see me as little one is projectile vomiting after feeds due to severe congestion caused by an allergy 3 GPs have refused to acknowledge (I'm dealing with this). Anyway, how do I do little and often? She usually has 210ml every 3 hours. Do I give her half a bottle every 1.5 hours? A third of the bottle every 1 hour?

Not a stupid question and I don’t think there is one correct answer here. You need to find what works for you and your little one which may involve a bit of trial and error.

Agree with above- not stupid question at all. Do what works for you and baby. Hope you get sorted soon

My cousin had the same issue with his baby. The doctor wasn’t listening and finally they went in and told the doctor that their son was projectile vomiting and that everyone who ever sees him mentions how much he pukes. Finally they were given some medication and the baby is doing well. So my advice is advocate hard for your baby, you’ve got this! Hope it gets sorted soon

@Andi 100% and it is a very important question

How old is your baby? Are they formula fed?

@Rosie She's 17 weeks today and formula fed

So we shifted to “little and often” feeding a month or two ago, and it really helped our LO’s reflux - in addition to being prescribed omeprazole. We do 130mls (breastmilk) every 2 hours (every hour is very tricky to do as a mama, you can’t really do anything and it impacts naps) - maybe try something similar? No such thing as stupid questions! Xxxx

@Rosie we're doing 90mls every 1.5hrs at the moment. I tried 110mls this morning but she vomited back up (this was a bottle of breastmilk as she has one bottle every day or two)
