Newly gestational diabetic

I’m on metformin cause it’s my fasting bloods that were continuously high. So can’t be diet managed, they were between 5.6-5.9 every morning for a week for them to diagnose me

I had an exceptionally high reading 2 Hours after the drink - 10.6! However, my fasting level was normal and I managed perfectly fine to just manage by diet control and never needed any medication. So I think it’s very difficult to predict who may or may not need extra help as every body is different

I got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago and they put me on insulin for bed and metformin before meals but now I'm on insulin before bed and insulin before every meal xxx

My fasting levels are always fine, but I got put on insulin for tea because 2 days in a row they were 7.9. Really low threshold they have for GD unfortunately xx

My fasting was always over so I'm only on night time insulin, they just increased the dose. Of course I have also been sick this entire time and that raises blood sugar so I'm hoping once it's gone then my levels settle down..
