Bath 🛁

Hello ladies , just wondering about baths. I haven’t had one since being pregnant, obviously I have showers 😂 I just ache and would love a bath! What is like the max temperature it can be. I’ve always been a bit edge to have one and it can’t be to hot. I’m currently 35 weeks. Thanks in advance 😊

I’ve been having long hot baths the entire way through, currently 34 weeks. As long as it’s not hot enough that you feel dizzy/lightheaded or spike your blood pressure, you’re absolutely fine. I didn’t even know it was a problem until a short while ago so asked my midwife and that’s what I was told. She said it pretty much different for everyone as we all have different tolerance levels

Ok thank you :)

I was told 37 degrees is the max by my midwife last pregnancy so been doing that again as can’t push your body temp up any more than normal x

I've had a few baths. I used to have baths all the time, but I actually find I don't feel very comfortable in the bath now so haven't had one in a while 😞. As long as it's not too hot, you should be fine! Definitely go for it!

Thank you everyone! I went for it! Also had a lush bathbomb to!

Im a nightmare. My baths are hot. They also were for my first baby😅

I was worried about this too but everyone pregnant around me (sisters who have had kids) said it’s fine as they did it too! I’ve been having long hot baths and everything’s fine with little pass x

I have warm baths with salts and lavender oil when really tired and achy. 34 weeks now and the weight of the bump is draining me.

The biggest risk is in the early days of pregnancy when a higher core temperature can impact development but at this late stage the only risk is becoming too hot yourself and becoming faint or something!

No idea the temperature but during pregnancy I turn the hot water right down on my boiler when I’m not pregnant it goes to max
