Confused

Is this group just spouses? I was medically retired after 15 years, and even after giving birth, I still feel like I have no purpose in life. I'd really like to talk to other military moms, but I have no experience being a dependant.

I don’t know. I think most of the pages are spouses with a few vets mixed in. but I was in the Air Force for 8 years. I’ve only separated recently.

I was Navy for 8 years and was medically retired back in 2022

Majority are. But I was in the Navy I separated in ‘21 . How are yall disability wise?

I was army aviation for 15 years. Medically retired in 2022. I've been struggling to figure out who I am out of uniform and to find that same camaraderie. Unfortunately, when I had my son, I seem to have lost the few friends that I had left from service.

I am a spouse and I feel the same.

Current military here! 🙋🏽‍♀️Air Force. Feel free to message me if you’d like 🤍

@Katie air traffic control for 8. I’m actually going back now as a civilian

@Khyia that is awesome. I really wish I had that option

@Katie thanks. If your disability doesn’t prevent it. Id look on usajobs it’s where I found my. Even if it’s not an army base or doing aviation maybe working on the base in some capacity will help

I'm currently in school. The bases in my state are all in a part of the state I don't want to live in if I can avoid it.

Gotcha. Check to see if the school as an things for veterans. I think if the school is part of the yellow ribbon program (I think it’s that program) they will have a lounge and you can meet other veterans maybe. But your advisor should be able to tell you. But also us. I’ve got a 2 year old and 6 month old.

Since 2011, all universities are required to have a veterans area for DEI purposes. My first year or so, there were good people there. It's falling apart recently.

I'm actually both. I'm in the reserves and a first time mom.
