Help!! Entertaining Baby

How are you keeping your 4 month olds entertained on days you don't go out the house? We go to baby groups and out shopping and for walks, etc, but some days I don't have a car, so other than a walk (when it's not raining) we can't go out. Now that she's awake most of the day, I'm struggling to keep her entertained all day. What do others do?

I feel you, I don’t have much advice as I feel the same except I am the same with 3 month old. My cars broke so had to get rid of it, and so I try to go on a walk (then he has the one bigbsleep) or just little 15 mins and then if I go shopping etc we’re out but then it’s like play mat, tummy time, swing, looking in mirrors, talking, few toys he’s got light up and sensory I feel like I run out of stuff to do and bored of the same stuff, then when it’s a rainy day I feel like I go insane. There’s always housework to do never ending but then he is very clingy lol! How do you find the baby groups? Have you got any sort of sit me up / jumperoo etc I know some people don’t because of the debate it being bad for hips etc so I don’t get bit sure if I’m going to ? Have you tried swimming or anything yet?

@Jo yes we do all these things too, but it doesn't seem to last very long as she gets bored! I haven't got those because of the potential hip issues, but my mum has bought her the mamas and papas bug for christmas which I did get out to try the other day, but she can't quite sit up enough yet so seemed unsteady! She's actually starting swimming lessons on Wednesday, so if she seems to enjoy that i might also take her another time during the week

It doesn’t, I feel the same, feel fed up with it and like he gets bored too! Yeah I haven’t bought any either. I think someone said about the mamas and papas to me too but I don’t have that. I feel like it’s a hard inbetween stage :/ ! Awww is that swimming lessons with you? I haven’t took my LO yet but plan to but so busy with Xmas coming up. Hope she enjoys it ☺️ Do you do a sensory group or is it like singing? I thought my LO would be fascinated by the tree so put it up early but he wasn’t interested 😅

@Jo yes it's swimming lessons together which will be nice 🥰 i think she'll love it because her legs go crazy in the bath 🤣 We're trying out a few different ones over the next few weeks to figure out which is best, we've only been to one which was aimed at older children so far so we probably won't go back to that one for a while! Same re the tree! It was also the most difficult couple of hours trying to decorate and keep baby happy at the same time! It will be better when they can get involved with the decorating!

We do a free baby group group every day. Church baby toddler group Monday, preschool baby group Tuesdays, just finished baby massage course Wednesdays so will go back to mamma social co walks, baby sensory Thursday and used to be singing at the library Fridays but now we have swimming lessons (only thing we pay for). We walk for an hour every day in the mornings with the dogs. Other activities at home are singing, story times, tummy time, play mat, massage, chats about our day, playing, face pulling, just whatever we fancy. Recently we've also beingdoing Xmas things such as hand and foot prints for Xmas cards, hand and foot casts for pressies, salt dough tree decorations. Other wake windows we sometimes just cuddle. I think aslong as they are happy and you are OK then it doesn't matter what you do x
