Maternity ending question?

My work have rang to say my maternity ends in January 1st but I only went on leave June the 8th so this is only 7 months of maternity and I'm getting paid statutory for 9 months right? 3 months unpaid if I choose to stay off for the full year. They're ringing to ask me if I'm going back in January to do kit days or hand my notice in...I'm right in calling them back and saying that my maternity shouldn't end until march right? I even have the company letter saying maternity ends 7th June 2025

I went on mat leave end of Feb and mine has just ended November 9months

You are entitled to the full year unless you inform them otherwise. Check the company handbook. Is it HR who are calling you?

you are entitled to 12 months, 9 paid and then an extra 3 months unpaid if you choice to take it all. I started my Mat leave at the end of April and I was due back the end of January (but I’ve extended it) so that’s definitely not right

Also when you say work is ringing you? What do you mean by that? My leave has all been handled by HR not my boss, so it its your boss/management ringing? If so they shouldn’t be

Yes you are entitled to 52 weeks of leave and you will have extra to take at the end as well as you accrue holiday while you’re off 😳

Yeah it's my assistant manager ringing me and I thought so. Thank you girls for making sure I'm right. I'll ring them back and correct them xx

From my experience of returning to work.. get absolutely everything in writing

Yes, but kit days are done whilst you are still on mat leave to get you ajusted again and some companies require 2-3 months notice if you dont plan to go back, so depends on your companys policy.

you are entitled to full 12 months and you can do 10 keep in touch days that are paid your daily rate but are not compulsory
