Hand expressing
How soon can you hand express I have started but I’m worried it’s too early any advice?

Not recommended you start till 36 weeks as can cause premature labour
From 36 weeks is what's advised x
From 36 weeks as you’ll be at risk of early labour c
Don’t start until 36 weeks x
Thankyou everyone a bit worried now as I was advised different but only done It once today! Never again until later 😅 xx

@Marie I think you’ll be fine if you’ve only done it the once. If you were just catching natural let down when leaking I think this would be fine. But would avoid actively trying to encourage by hand expressing yet.

Definitely too early if you’re due in February! This should only be done from 37 weeks unless advised by your midwife that you’re able to start a couple of weeks early. Expressing could lead to you going into labour early so I’d really recommend stopping doing this. Is there any reason you started so early? X
