Depending on where your located NHS waiting lists can be a year in some places. So it's still worth him signing up now. My 2nd child is 3 months old and my midwife advised this.
@Jexsaida he doesn’t want to do it during holidays bc we’ll be traveling, and also doesn’t want to do it after having our baby since I’ll also be in recovery. He’s being so dramatic and thinks he’s going to be in bed rest for at least a week 😒 but I hear it’s a quick and easy recovery lol
I mean, the process for a vasectomy is super easy. But also condoms (when used correctly) are 99% effective. So… 🤷🏻♀️
Lol bed rest made me chuckle. Men walk out of the procedure and take it easy for a few days but that’s it.
@Kirsty I didn’t even think there was a long wait list😳 good to know!!
My husband had it and he was able to walk around and drive just fine. He felt sore but he was able to move around fine.
My hubs will be getting one soon once our baby is safely here.
We’re in the same boat but I’d prefer to wait around a year just in case anything bad were to happen
My husband had one and recovered within a few days. I will say that we’re expecting another baby in 2 weeks following the vasectomy though 😉
It's a 3 day recovery but they don't need to be on bed rest lol. Just make sure kids don't jump on them etc. protect their junk.
@Clare ohhh snap. Well well… congrats maybe. Not expected but certainly in the plans. That baby was coming whether you liked it or not huh. So crazy.
Why does he want to wait? Today the healing process is very quick for men from what I’ve heard.
