Help me out ladies!!!!

I know I’ve been dumb please don’t tell me off. This will not happen again!!!! My husband and I had unprotected sex on Monday and Thursday and both occasions he did not pull out. We have 4 kids already so not having anymore. So what I’m asking is today is Friday is it worth getting the emergency contraception? I’ve checked and it may cover me for Thursdays accident but Monday may be too late?! It makes me bleed soooo badly so I really don’t want to take it especially if it may not even be effective (because of Monday) shall I just hope for the best that I won’t get pregnant or take it anyway and bleed heavily and still not be 100% safe because of Monday. (I think it’s only effective for the first 72 hrs)

if you really don’t want to get pregnant, i would take it anyway to protect from thursday and hope that monday’s incident didnt get you pregnant??? there’s no real harm in taking it other than the bleeding and if you are sure you do not want to pregnant then really to me it’s worth it, but like you say will not be 100% effective due to monday xx

It’s only effective for 72 hours AND it’s most effective the sooner you take it, so you’re probably well outside the window for Monday. I personally would consider taking it to cover Thursday, but if it makes you feel poorly 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope you get lucky this time, girl🤷🏻‍♀️

Take the plan B, but also make sure to test and make sure you're not pregnant. What steps are y'all going to take to make sure it doesn't happen again? Do you live in a place where you have the freedom to choose an abortion if you are already pregnant?

They can cover four days, if your breastfeeding you will need a prescription ones usually as they don’t have them over the counter

I would take it anyway and keep your fingers crossed!

You can try but it’s very unlikely to work so it depends whether that tiny chance of it working is worth the bad effects you have to it 😬

Plan B only works if you haven’t yet ovulated. It will delay your ovulation by several days. Do you track your cycle? If not, I’d still take the pill. But if you do, you can determine if it will actually be worth taking.

I would take it today just in case and I would send husband for vasectomy if you really don’t want any more kids

@Raqi so we are discussing a vasectomy because this can’t keep happening the stress is too much!

I went to the pharmacy ladies and as @Nichola said they couldn’t give it to me as I’m breastfeeding so need to see the dr and of course the GPs are closed for the weekend. Now it’s just a lot of prayer! Ugh! Thanks ladies! Trust me this will not happen again!!

Do you know where you at in your cycle? That could help ease your stress if your not in your fertility window... also even if he pulled out, this method is really not guarantee so it's good your are discussing the vasectomy option. I would use condoms in the meantime or look for another contraception. Good luck

@Marie thanks Marie so on Monday it was low fertility on Thursday it was medium fertility and I am due to ovulate in 2 days. So now I’m just praying for the best. I’ve never wanted my period as much as I do right now! I think condoms are the way to go until we get a permanent option.

Ow right.. knowing that spern can live up to 5 days, really hope you'll get that pill 😬🤞🙏

Get Ella one which covers you for 5 days if you haven't yet ovulated x

you can go get an iud maybe

Or phone your local sexual health clinic

@Sona she didn't say she doesn't want to take the pill but she is breastfeeding and need to see a doctor first

Fingers crossed! I always thought drug dealers should carry them lol

See if there’s a sexual health clinic open near you, as Kalia said you can also get an IUD fitted as emergency contraceptive although I’m not sure if it needs to be within a certain number of hours of the unprotected sex

@Kathryn when i look online it varies from 5-7 days after unprotected sex. i’m not a doctor though.

@Nichola this is hilarious 🤣 🤣

@Kalia I had the non-hormonal iud and bled soooo bad my GP told me to take it out so I did. We’re going the condom route now until this man gets a vasectomy!

Update I got levonelle!!🙌🏾🙌🏾 just took it! So pray for me ladies! I’m not slipping up again (not letting him slip up again rather 🙄) apparently with this one I can breastfeed after 8 hours. Thanks for all ur supports girls and for not judging me!

Definitely try to convince him to get a vasectomy. They’re reversible & not painful for men (out patient procedure, a few days of recovery).

Well done glad you got something! Send hubby for the snip now honestly it’s barely anything for them!

@Kathryn thank you!!!! Yes he really has to at this point.
