Teething already?!?!

My little one has started chewing her hands and fingers. At first we thought she just discovered them but she’s also become a little restless and pulls a button at her right ear. Could the little white bump be a tooth? My husband thinks it’s far too early for teething - she’d only 3 months tomorrow. If it is any tips because she can’t really hold teething toys

@Tianna oooh thanks that looks good!

When you put your clean finger in the mouth over that white spot - does it feel hard then the rest of the gums? If yes then yes to the teething. But honestly the gums would be red if it was true teething. It’s not impossible to be that early but average kid has teething 6-9 months.

Catherine my we man’s doing exactly the same he’s 3 months. When taking bottle he moves to the side and chews. I did run my finger round his gums but I don’t feel anything just incase lol but I honestly feel like he’s teething as well

My little ones the same, appears to be teething at 3 months her cheeks are red and she keeps mouthing her hand and is quite unsettled x

The position of the white bump suggests it's an epstein pearl rather than a tooth. My little boy had one too a couple of months ago

My baby (11 weeks) is going through a phase of learning a new skill! The skill is…. (Drum roll) chewing his fist! And when babies learn a new skill they get tired and fussy. I don’t think mine is teething, I think he is just discovering chewing his hands.

@Christie I’d never heard of that and after a quick google that looks like what it is. Thank you!
