You defintely should try Miguel lascano in Delano. They accept Medi-cal not saying you have that but I know I do. You also should be given places to go to from an urgent care or hospital, as I was, or you also can call Medi-cal for list . Lots of places in Bakersfield with OBS have not been accepting new patients or certain insurance or they won’t be able to be at the babies birth it sucks. I go to my OB in Delano, and I literally live in Bakersfield. Miguel Lascano is a great doctor he accepts patients in Delano as well as wasco. Highly recommend. Also to receive prenatal treatment you can easily go to Walmart and buy prenatal you don’t need them prescribed to you. Although you can get those ones from the doctor. Also another thing is if you have Medi-cal they cover certain prenatal brands at the pharmacy. But if you need first time help getting prenatals I really wouldn’t mind giving you mine or buying some for you because everyone should have access to them. I hope this inhosp
@Alana I do have my prenatal vitamins just fine. It’s the doctors everywhere rejecting me just because I’m after 30 weeks pregnant and considering “risk” without read my medical files. I did went get a check at hospital other night, midwife nurse say you are not in risk at all and read your files.
@Alana, i think she is saying that she is worried about not getting prenatal care, not vitamins
@Cassandra Laguna I get what you are saying now, hopefully doctor lascano can help, if not I do know that sendas urgent care has a long list they can also give you to help you search for doctors asap. I hope you get it taken care of soon. 🫶🏾 As well as have a safe delivery 🩷
I haven’t experienced this in California but it is standard practice in NYC. I think the main reason is that the OB doesn’t want to be liable for potential complications from possible lack of proper treatment earlier in pregnancy. It’s a liability issue and while it may be unfair I think if you get a lawyer who would take this on you’re going to waste a lot of money for no end result.
