Kendamil shortage

Hey hunni I know many people doesn’t know this Kendamil has brought out a new milk called bonya which is also made by them, we have bought a few just in case we are unable to get out little one her normal milk xx

Is Bonya the same as Kendamil?

We couldn’t find Kendamil for a while so we tried Hipp Organic 2 and Aptamil 2 but we weren’t fond of them mainly because of the ingredients but also they have a funky smell after 20mins and baby doesn’t want to drink them, but if drank straight away she was fine. Otherwise her poop was normal. Aptamil definitely has a sweeter flavour than the other two.

We use SMA little steps - we were in SCBU for a week and it was one of the options provided for milk, haven’t tried any others since! It’s about £8 a tin in boots and Iceland x

I’ve bought some bonya! The difference is they don’t use uk cows and it’s not made in the uk. It is £3.55 cheaper though!

Yes it is tricky, I bought a subscription early on so I haven't had the issue but have noticed the sparseness in the shops. If he didn't like this one I would have tried Holle Organic next https://holle.co.uk/products/holle-organic-infant-follow-on-formula-4 My first didn't like aptamil so I wasn't going to try that again.

@Stephanie it’s not the same as the normal kendamil though, so you would have to wean your baby off normal kendamil onto the boxed version like any other formula, just to let you know don’t want baby having upset tummy xx

Tesco nationwide had a big kendamil delivery last night/this morning and I was able to get a few tubs in my local Tesco. You can check your local store stock on the app! You can also currently order a maximum of two tubs on savers website - we’ve been using this since birth and feel your pain!

I switched to kendamil goat… it was easy on mu bubs tummy

I had my son on aptamil which is similar to kendamil, the shortage is due to it being European and it mainly being sold in Europe. I struggled for a while till I found the one I like,but this one’s amazing it’s 0-12months and has a lot of the non needed stuff taken out

I’ve just changed to aptamil for that very reason. One bottle kendamil next bottle aptamil until all gone then it will just be aptamil
