following this I need to know too😩

I just did it at 35 weeks because im bored & clearly on nesting mode lol 😭 im following this too 😩

I have a feeling from googling that sterilisation lasts for 24hrs, but I am confused because how can I sterilise baby’s dummy and put it in my hospital bag

@Megan In the hospital I'll give birth in, they have a microwave that can be used by mums to sterilise things. I'm guessing every hospital would be similar. I hope so!

@Jo I’ll be at kings in Camberwell. Hopefully they have this

@Megan I have one of those sterilisers that is also like a steriliser fridge storage thingy so I think it keeps it sterilised for longer!

Anything will only last 24 hours once sterilised no matter what method you use. I am going to clean all mine in hot soapy water and then just sterilise them when baby’s born before first use. I’ll take the Milton sterilising wipes to the hospital for the dummy’s 😊

@Megan Mine is Gloucester, but I'd be surprised if they didn't. I needed to sterilise things (my girls struggled to breastfeed so I had pumping parts and little cups!) and other mums were regularly in there doing the same.

@Annie agreed! I’ve washed mine in hot soapy water and me or my partner will just sterilise them when we’re home from hospital (takes 5 minutes)

Literally just finished, I only washed the bottles but will sterilised once the baby is here, I did sterilised the dummy and breast dump to put in my hospital bag.

That’s not something you should prep. Maybe give them all their first wash and sterilise if you want but you’re going to just need to do it all again when baby is here so I wouldn’t bother. Once sterilised it’s only sterile for 24 hours so just put it to the bottom of your list haha
