They don't need to drink milk at that age. They can get the calcium through other sources of dairy like cheese or yoghurt. As long as they're drinking enough water I wouldn't stress it.

You could try mixing prepared formula with cows milk and then slowly decreasing the ratio of formula and increasing the cows milk

@Caroline was just about to comment the same thing 👏🏻

@Caroline aww brilliant thank you he loves cheese, yoghurt and has cereal with it but keep getting told he shouldn’t be drinking formula and it’s so annoying 😅 thank you!

@Ellis that’s a good idea! I’ll give that a go as well

To wean off formula I started doing half formula, half cows milk just before she turned 1. Then I swapped more of the formula out for cows milk until it was just cows milk and she was fine with it. I then stopped the daytime bottle, offered a snack instead and now she just has 1 bedtime bottle of cows milk per day x

Mine was refusing it to begin with but I put it in a TumTun cup and I'd play peekaboo with it and suddenly he started drinking it. I only give him a small cup with breakfast. My HV said he doesn't need to drink milk as long as he's having it in his breakfast, having cheese and yogurt in the day x

Im just making my usual formula and topping it up with cows milk.... does no harm knowing he still gets the things he needs and thats the main thing x
