Night time wee!

We've been doing nighttime potty training for my kid for about 6 months now but we still have to wake him at least once a night for the potty and more often than not he'll wet the bed too....any tips out there? We're exhausted! He doesn't wear a pull up or anything, just pyjamas x

You can't train for nighttime dryness it's all connected to hormones which vary for each child. Honestly I would just let him wear pull ups on a nighttime and when he's waking up dry for a week get rid of them

Night time dryness is hormonal and so training won’t help :) my daughter is three and it’s hit and miss if she wakes up dry, I just make sure I try and get her to wee before bed and she wears a pull up x

Yea i heard this but we potty trained for the day using the oh crap book and that recommended doing night time training early to avoid problems with bed wetting when older....I'll google it a bit more and see. Thanks ladies appreciate it x

He isn’t ready to be dry at night Which is totally normal at this age! Put a pull up back on and wait until he’s consistently dry It can NOT be taught x

Once my son was day potty trained, he started waking with a dry nappy but would wake around 04:30am dry and desperate for a wee and then wouldn’t go back to sleep so for that reason we woke him at midnight for a wee and that mostly solved the early wake ups. He’s been dry since January now. If you have been trying for around 6 months i would suggest leaving it and it will come naturally when they are ready

Thanks all x
