I mean, if he already saw it, he’d probably be sad if you returned it.
I would definitely keep it. I think it would be terrible if you returned it after he already knew. I would just give it to him still on Christmas and tell him to pretend to be surprised
Was it a Santa gift or from you
you could even tell him you bought it for someone else (make someone up) & then surprise him
I understand wanting to surprise him, but returning it because he saw it would not make it better. Gift it as a pre Xmas or hide it somewhere and pretend you don’t know what he’s talking about. Use the box for something else empty a pack of candy or stuff it with chips (idk) and fill it up with news paper, wrap it nicely and then after he’s done asking for it you say something like: wait a minute what is this in your tub? 🤣😂😭 idk
This might be cold, but I would wait until he does something and say that the Grinch took it or have Daddy dress up as the Grinch or even you can dress up as the Grinch and just run out with it so that way he doesn't expect it on Christmas and then you can still have it there and be like oh since you were a good boy the Grinch must have the brought it back
@Renny that sounds traumatizing lol
@Nestlē I said it might be cold 😭😂but he's eight. My niece is 10. She would probably laugh at it. I don't know if he's ever even seen the Grinch either that might help it a little bit to soothe it over and then have them come in real life I don't know. I'm just thinking because I don't know what I would do if my little baby saw his first bike ,I would probably cry
@Nestlē sidenote your babies are absolutely adorable 🩵💗
Id sit him down and tell him the bike was purchased by whomever and you picked it up for them and daddy is dropping it off. I’m sorry that you saw it and thought it was for you? Maybe next birthday or when weather is warmer we will get you one then BOOM!
I remember, when I was a child, I would find all my gifts before the holiday in my mom’s closet 😆 then pretended that I’m surprised. Don’t worry about it, as long as he is happy, don’t return. As an idea, put it in a box of something different, so he will be surprised to see not a bike there, but then you can have a laugh.
@Renny thank you so much 😊
@Gabrielle I hadn’t decided that yet 😩thinking about it now I would have said Santa!
@Nestlē I had considered this

@Renny 😂😂lmao! Creative!!
@Renny yes he’s seen the grinch! lol 😂 if I would have put more thought into the situation this would have been a great idea!! But I’m sure he would know it’s not realllly the grinch 😂I’m sad he saw his bike!!
When I was around that age my mom got me a pretty big gift that I saw in her trunk. I was just happy she got me something. I think your son is just going to be happy you thought of him. Also my mom never did “gifts from Santa” he was always more of a fun Christmas character and a representation of Christmas spirit so I knew the gifts came from her so it never ruined anything. It actually made it more fun knowing if I was nosy enough I might find peeks of Christmas presents in random places
It would kind of be mean to return it since he’s already expecting it ☹️
What do you think you’ll do
I would put something eles in the box like coal and hide the bike until afther he freaks out
