Google your hospital trust name + request maternity records/hospital records. Some will have an online form, others have an email. It’s very easy either way
Mine were all available in my online portal. Every appointment had some basic notes, plus a detailed account of my c section, etc. I recently read through them all as I was curious (and pregnant again and wanted to learn). I am in the US though so maybe the hospital system is just different?
Your medical records are for you to be same to see most hospitals depending on your country can’t deny giving them to you all you have to do is fill out a form
It’s your legal right to request them at any time - even if it was 20 years ago ☺️ they may take some time for them to get them to you but there will be info on your hospital’s website. This is what NHS England says: https://www.england.nhs.uk/contact-us/common-questions/how-do-i-get-a-copy-of-my-health-medical-records/
Yes I got mine. I rang my hospital and asked how to get them and I was given an email and I had to send my name, date of birth, address and what and why I wanted. Came within 2 months. You have 18 years to request them it’s not mandatory but it’s definitely something to look back on xx
Your GP won't have all of your maternity documents. You need to email subject access request at the relevant trust. I requested mine September this year but still nothing yet
Mine was through the portal! It will depend on your hospital!
If you are UK it’ll be in your badger notes
Where do you live, that doesn't have an app? Such a shame you can't just access your records, like we can in the UK.
Hospital records are different to what you see on badger notes, a whole lot more information
@Gemma not every trust uses badger and many don’t fill them in very well, mine said I’d had no scans, and I obviously had! x
Contact your trusts pals department and they’ll be able to tell you who to contact. They legally have to be kept for 25yrs so definitely not too late
You usually have to write to your trust requesting your notes or fill in an online form. It’s different for every trust. Try going on your hospital trusts website? If you can’t find the information there you could always write to the trust headquarters. It’s definitely not too late if you gave birth in 2024.
