Feeding 🍼
Hey mummy’s I’m thinking ahead of what’s the best way to feed my new bubba, i exclusively bf my first till she was 2🙃 really want to combi feed this time but have no idea when and how to do it or introduce the bottle!! I left it too late with my first and she ended up never taking a bottle. Any suggestions for bottles and how to do it? Tia 🥰

Try introducing a bottle at 6 weeks to combi feed

I was recommended to wait till 6 weeks with my first, so they don’t develop nipple confusion or bottle preference. But my son absolutely refused the bottle at 6 weeks and just never took to it, so I was stuck with EBF until he learnt how to drink from an open cup at around 6 months. Don’t know if it would have made a difference if I’d tried with a bottle earlier, or whether I should have tried harder!
That’s what I’m worried about too! Same thing happened with my first 🥵

I struggle with this too. I tried to introduce a bottle when my boy was 3 months but wouldn’t take it. He started drinking occasionally from a sippy cup at 6 months and was much better with that. I worry about introducing bottles too early incase they get a preference for it.
