Did you try milk mixed with water? We started like that with our son because it also made him very bloated at the beginning. We did half/half for a few weeks, then slowly increasing the milk
Plant based milk 🙏
We had exactly the same. We switched to oat milk on advice of doctors who told us to go dairy free. We’ve only changed the milk and yoghurts as that’s the dairy she has and she’s soo much better and even her appetite has increased. We’re using Oatly barista for her and it’s great. Higest fat content out of the oat milks which I got told she’d need x
@Elisabeta Furtuna yep that didn’t help unfortunately! She still drinks a lot of milk so adding water really didn’t do much x
@Dominique i might have to give that a try… I was trying to avoid it because my daughter loves all things dairy. She also doesn’t have much of an appetite so maybe thatll help 🙏 how long before you saw an improvement? X
Literally within a couple days she was going to the bathroom without screaming, crying in pain. She even made herself bleed with how much she was struggling. Her reflux came back with cows milk and it’s gone now we’ve switched. she’s never been a fan of cheese or anything like that so we only swapped milk and yoghurts and said if it didn’t help we’d go full dairy free but she’s been fine. Her appetite still isn’t great she’s happy with 2 meals (breakfast and tea) doesn’t really eat dinner unless she skips breakfast and she doesn’t have hardly any snacks. My little one might just be fussy as she doesn’t like bread, pasta or rice really xx
She’s sooo much happier now and sleep has massively improved now her stomach is better and also her reflux is settled. X
@Dominique ahh thankyou! I’ll definitely give it a go, same with my daughter she’s been crying so hard when she has to go 😔hoping it’ll help. Yeah my daughter’s appetite is so rubbish too, she likes yogurt, pasta and scrambled egg for breakfast, that’s pretty much it! Never thought this part of parenting would be so stressful tbh!
Maybe not a cows milk. But maybe like oat or almond milk. I wouldn’t transition back to formula. I’d. Try others first
Let us know how it goes for your little one! Hopefully it helps. I know food is definitely our hardest battle to date! X
Just an fyi not to give almond milk to toddlers and to avoid organic versions of plant milks as they don’t add the vitamins to those. So glad switching diary out made a difference , dairy is the devil for humans x
@Natalie hi we’re looking at giving oat, possibly soy, not almond :)
Swap to oat milk x
Hi ladies we tried oat milk today and all night she’s been screaming the house down, pretty inconsolable. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but this is worse than the constipation 😖

I doubt it’s from that. It could just be that she’s not used to it. So you might have to wean onto it. My kids didn’t like their new milk so it took time to get used to it
@Natalie why do you say not almond
Oh no, Did she drink the oat milk? Could she be teething?
Turns out she has a double ear infection 😫 the oat milk was just a coincidence 🫠 swear this portion of motherhood is trying to ☠️ me
@Gabrielle almonds milks are lower in protein, fats and calories than other plant milks x
Yes I swapped back as it was causing diarrheoa, wind and eczema flared up. I'm aiming to slowly start reintroducing it at some point
