Where I live, not sure if it’s the same for everyone it says that they can wait until you’re 8-10 weeks pregnant to get in touch with you.. which just seems like forever🙈 but I would say it’s normal x
My nhs website wouldn’t let me do it until I was 5 weeks, I heard back yesterday saying they’ll be in touch soon, I didn’t have a midwife appointment with my last pregnancy until I was 9 weeks and heard from them the week before the appointment, it’s pretty normal to not hear from them, also should not do multiple referrals as it slows down the process (it said that on the website I was using)
I did my self referral directly through my hospital and heard back within a week. I've received both my antenatal appt and dating scan. May just depend on your hospital x
@Robyn I don’t really have a hospital per say since I’m not registered with the GP properly, so I just looked up the closest to me
Hey! My self referrals returned contact within 2 days; where I’ve had all my first apps all booked in! Where’s your area? Fingers crossed you hear shortly! X
Some literally take weeks to respond. With my first pregnancy, I ended up chasing my midwives around the 8/9 weeks marks to get my 1st appointment. Try not to worry,, you will get the appointments soon enough. I know it's easy to worry though xx
Where I live we have to do a referral online but then still call them in order to book any appointments
I did my self referral last Saturday & had a phone call to get my booking appointment on Thursday xx
Where I live, you don't have your firdt mw app until you are at least 8 weeks so sounds about right x
Hey, I am 5w3d today. I spoke to my doctor on Tuesday for EPU. He sent this over same day and told me to do my own self referral. Hospital and midwife sent me an appointment on Wednesday for EPU, initial app and 12 week. I think where I live it’s 24-48 hour turnaround. Maybe speak to the GP, it’s worth registering properly for ease of admin etc
Check your junk mail! That’s where my email was. My appointment isn’t till 8weeks 6days!! I thought that was really late not sure why it’s then!
My self referral said the same thing but within 2 weeks I was contacted! I’m sure it’ll be dependent on the capacity they have for your area but they’ll be in touch before 8-10 weeks , they have to be x
Ive done a self referal in Kent and the confirmation email says do not expect to hear before 8 weeks pregnant, I am only 6.5 weeks so don’t think il hear for another couple of weeks x
I was told I couldn’t self refer to my local clinic till I was 7 weeks 🤷♀️ x

I registered with 3 nearly 4 weeks ago. One of them still hasn’t got back to me yet. The other two took 1-2 weeks x
My midwives contacted me with my last pregnancy when I was around 8-10 weeks pregnant and I've been told it will probably be the same this time
