I make a formula bottle up in the evening and put in the fridge when he wants it it’s usually still warm. And if I haven’t made one or already used it and he wakes in the night and I don’t want to or can’t breast feed then I bring up one of the ready mixed ones so I can give it whenever with no prep needed
@Kimberley thanks. Is the prepared a bit too cold during the night?
As in the pre mixed or the one I made up in the fridge?
Sorry I mean the pre mixed
No it just stays room temp ☺️ our room is usually about 17 degrees but even if our gro egg has gone blue his milk is still not cold ☺️
We also only ever heat enough to take the chill off of bottles anyway as our son isn’t really very picky with them being overly warm he just wants food quickly when he decides he’s hungry he will snap your arm off for the bottle 😂
@Kimberley haha I know that feeling. My daughter was the same...no time to warm a bottle
Buy a Nuby rapid cool and just make the bottle once they wake, it takes no longer than 3/4 mins x
@Elena might be a silly question but if you use a rapid cool do you still have to wait 30 minutes after boiling the kettle or use straight away? Considering getting one for travel
@Kimberley no hun.. so what I do and a lot of other people is I boil the kettle before bed and fill up my flask, once baby wakes I pour the boiling water to the relevant ml in the bottle, I then pour the water into the rapid cool leaving around 30ml in the bottle, add your formula to the 30ml in the bottle and mix then once your rapid cool light goes green pour the water back into your bottle mix and you’re good to go! Honestly takes me 3 mins x
@Elena oh amazing thank you ☺️ I’m assuming you have to wash and sterilise after every use? Just trying to work out how much I could actually use it when out and about and how convenient it is. been debating it since we introduced formula and thinking it might be an idea to get one for our holiday
@Kimberley no need to sterilise if you’re using the above hot shot method as no formula comes into contact with it, if you pour the whole bottle in there then yes you would need to sterilise and this is why I don’t use that method! Honestly it is the BEST invention ever created I couldn’t live without it since I started formula at 3 months x
@Elena ahh I see that makes so much sense you’re basically creating your own perfect prep machine 🤣
@Kimberley in a sense yes! X
This is what I've always done. She's dropped her night feeds now, but we formula feed through the day. I make them all at once and then heat using (Inoby) a bottle warmer i put the warmer on and then change her nappy and it's warm enough by the time I'm done changing her
