Ivf question

Hi so I conceived my beautiful baby girl who is 3 naturally after doing tests for ivf ( tried for 4 years prior). God is great! We have been trying for a sibling pretty much straight away and prayed for Irish twins but it didn't happen. I am looking into ivf now as I managed to save some money and what better than to spend it on completing my family? It's a modest amount so I could afford one round. I've looked at abc ivf but my bmi is 34 and I suffer with pcos making weight loss difficult. I didn't lose any weight I gained during pregnancy although my body looks different. I can't explain it. My question is has anyone gone abroad for ivf? What prices did you pay altogether? I've had a look at packages but it's really the starting point and I need a realistic amount. I would stay abroad for the whole process with my husband and child. I would love to book into a hotel and get a mini holiday too but it all again depends on the cost. If that's not feasible then I will need to do something drastic like ozempic to lose the weight and then try in the uk. I have 2 more years left before I officially give up! My periods are awful and the depression that follows is ridiculous I can't do this any longer and actually for the first time ever thinking of sterilisation! Just 2 more years so I need aome advice on what to do. I am active and go swimming and gym but my weight is the death of me

I had ivf with my first who is 3 and fell pregnant naturally with my second . I’d like a third and if hoping we have a second natural miracle I’ve heard awful things about ivf abc, pay cheap and it isn’t always amazing service and support z

Oh no what did you hear? I did some research and now it's usually ran by nurses who than consult with the consultants but I haven't heard horror stories. I will get one chance at this so if it needs to be abroad I am okay with that

I can’t help about prices abroad, but I wanted to say that similar to you conceived our first waiting to start IVF, and then after hoping it would happen again tried for 2 yrs with no luck and did IVF. We did it with abc IVF and had a good experience, it is run by the nurses but the one I had was fantastic and if we were to want a third would use them again. So if you end up using them in the UK there are some positive experiences as well

Wow Allie how eerily familiar! I wish I can also follow in your footsteps. I think I need to get my bmi a little lower before I qualify so finger crossed I can start the process soon

I wouldn’t recommend ABC clinic at all I started off with them failed my cycle. You would hardly get to speak to the Dr the nurses would always come infront them they sent me downstairs which was called create clinic even then they were helpless would not reply or update u on anything. ABC + create are one clinic. Now I’m taking few months off and starting to start with care fertility who my acupuncturist has advised me as she worked for them. You rather pay bit more and have a better team

This is my concern. I can only afford one cycle for the time being so if I need to spend a bit more I can do that but no the thousands I've seen for some of the best clinics
