On the fence , should I miss Xmas

I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant and my husband will be away for work next week so I really want to avoid going into labor. My original plan was to spend the week at my moms which is over 2 hours away but she’ll be working during the day so I would go spend the days with my sister then go back. I do hate driving and it’s giving me anxiety think about spending the week with family. Normally I would love to go but I’m afraid it’ll be too much and may even push me into labor. I also have a toddler son and a golden retriever I would be in charge of so it just seems like a lot on my plate. Other option is to stay home solo during the holidays 🫤 so not ideal all around but most importantly I don’t want to go into labor or risk getting sick before my schedule c section which is on Dec 31st

We’re missing Christmas this year with both families as I gave birth about a week ago (due date was December 15th) with my second baby. I also don’t want to get my newborn sick by being around a lot of people plus my 5 year old is sick. It’s been heartbreaking to limit his interaction with his newborn brother cause we’re terrified of him catching it from his older brother. My family are an hour away and my in laws are 20 minutes away. This year is just a little different for us.

^^ I’m in the same boat as Sara.

Not a good idea. Unfortunately us December mamas need to miss out on the holiday this year. Trust me you don’t want your water breaking or things starting up and panicking about your location. Stay home

It’s your second baby and it could come early. 2 hr drive is a lot to do alone with a toddler. Can your family come to you? You’ll be far from your hospital if something does happen. I’m anxious just thinking about it. I recommend no. Try doing some Christmas magic at home. Rent a movie, make cookies, maybe drive around in your PJs with your toddler to look at lights.
