I believe when I was growing up, we stopped doing gifts for all nieces and nephews when I was in high school. We haven’t run into that yet with my siblings as the oldest kid is only 8
In my family most stop at 18.
I will continue into adulthood.
We have that difficulty now however if we stopped so would they and that would mean our kids miss out.
@Karen I’ve stopped with a 24 year old this year and hasn’t gone down very well… but it was it is! 🤦🏻♀️
My neice and nephew are 18 and 21 whereas our youngest is 8 and they come from quite a wealthy family. My oh only has to buy for them anyway and me. Might leave it until she’s in high school and raise it. Think it’s more about losing that connection although I’m not bothered about keeping in touch as we’re the ones making the effort.
We stop at 18, I will buy something for their 21st but thats it
