Shaming moms for sending their kids to full time daycare

I just met a woman for the first time at a social function who pretty much said I was not a good mom for having my nearly three year old in daycare from 7:30am to 5:30pm 5 days a week. She insisted that I cant bond with my child with just a few hours a day. She has no children of her own but has worked in a daycare...... it just seemed so rude to judge someone like that and suggesting that it must be terrible for my child!...Am I really a bad mum for sending my kid to full time daycare? I thought he learns lots and gets good interaction, and I work full time and need to work full time.... why are people so judgemental?!

No you are not a bad mum for providing for your family. When I go back to work she’ll be in full time day care. No way could we afford for me not to work! She has no right to judge you. I hate that women can’t have kids and a career still!

It’s just some people 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not a bad mum at all. You could put your children in daycare and be a bad mum. But using daycare while you work full time doesn’t make you a bad mum.

Your not a bad mom! I worked in childcare for 4-5 years before having my daughter and I had families that would drop off when the daycare opened and picked up when we closed cause they had to work. The child loved daycare and loved their parents very much. I don’t know why people feel the need to be so judgmental

I mean it is harder to bond with them when they’re away for 8 hours. You miss a lot in the beginning. But you do what you have to do

“She has no children of her own” 🤣 Once she has her own children she will eat her own words… ignore her.

Best parents are the ones without any kids.

Try not to take it personally, she doesn’t get it at all
