Is it okay to get families with multiple kids a group toy?

I picked an appropriate sized Picasso tile set for the amount of kids but is this insensitive? Should I find separate gifts for them? I have a small budget at a lot of families to buy for. ($50 per family 5 families)

I think a group gift is fine. When my kids are older I plan of getting them trampoline as a together gift. It's sad people question if a gift is appropriate in my opinion anything I give or receive is appreciated because I don't have to get or be given anything in the 1st place

The smallest sets have 30-40 pieces. If the set you bought has more than 100 pieces, it can pass but would depend more on whether the kids are used to sharing toys and play together. Otherwise this toy is going to create some difficulties.

@𝔾𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖 I got a 100 piece set for four kids aged 18 months to 6 years and 30 piece set for families with two kids all 6 and under. ETA: none of them have any sets.

The first tile set we got had 30-40 tiles. It was good to begin with but soon we realised we needed more and this was only for 1 twoyear old child. Children younger than 5 have difficulties sharing so I would be unsure about this, specially with those age ranges. The picasso sets are expensive but you may still be better off buying individual small Duplo /LEGO sets that range £8-15. You can get something decent for different age ranges.

It can work out. Don't stress much about it. They are a great present, a lovely toy and it will help them to learn sharing.

My kids would kill each other for 1 gift, even if it's something small, it's better to get individual gifts 🙂

@Santa I was thinking the same, but children may end up stealing and borrowing each other's toys anyway. This could be a great family activity and if it doesn't work out, next Xmas they can get each one toy. I just wonder if the 6 year old children would still have interest in playing with tiles.

@𝔾𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖 my 7yo plays, so i think it depends of child 🙂

Please gift us family gifts or even tickets to an experience or a gift card to get ice cream! Families with multiple children have so many toys!

That’s such a great open ended gift- you are awesome!

@Brandi thank you! I’m trying to focus on quality of quantity and of something I’ve noticed our friends don’t have. I might be putting to much thought into it though. They are new friends to me and old friends to my husband.

I only have one child but it sounds like a very thoughtful gift.
