Cybex base/maxi cosi- compatible with other car seats?
Hi we have a day to day pram and a travel pram. I’ve whittled it down to a couple of options for compatible car seats with both prams.
My question is if we go for cybex or maxi cosi car seat and base, does that mean any future car seats would also need to be cybex or maxi cosi too? Otherwise we’d need to purchase a new compatible base for the car seat or install without base (ie with the seatbelt)

Wouldn’t worry about using the base for a next stage seat. There’s a handful you can re-use the bases on but they might not be suitable for your child. Look at Avionaut Sky, Avionaut cosmo and Besafe Beyong for infant carriers. Cybex cloud is very heavy and not all maxi cosi are very supportive

Yes as Emily said although there are normally better and safer car seats for next stage for the same price of the compatible next stage seat x
