🤣 this was us with my son. He helped by pulling off the bows lol
Santa was the only one to wrap gifts this year. We just left out her new things before bed. Doesn’t help my baby is sick 🥹
My 17 month old is sick and miserable. Doesn’t wanna open gifts or play. Very upsetting
I honestly didn’t bother wrapping all the presents when my children were around a year. This is the first Christmas my 2.5 has her toys wrapped. There’s nothing wrong with encouraging him to open more maybe later on or tomorrow. I think Christmas is super overwhelming for children x
At this age if we had any gifts for him I wouldn't even actually wrap them , tbh. We'll get ( and give ) extended family gifts on new years day. .. the family Christmas gathering is rescheduled to that day.
Let him open more later on today. Or in a few days
It's very confusing for them! New experiences and all. You could save them for later when he's whiny and bored.
I figured it out! I open them and then he plays with them and gets upset if I'm not far enough in opening the rest of the package
This literally happened to us too 😭 we had to manage expectations for the grandparents because they wanted to see our daughter open her presents 🙃 I don’t think it took them long to realize she wasn’t going to give the reaction they wanted 😂
My daughter opened a few gifts then, she went to try n eat the paper lol then for the toy she liked the most that she opened but I showed her the gift bags which were more interesting for her lol. I opened the rest half way n told her to rip the paper off so she'd see what else was there
My son opened one gift and took off 😂 is normal for them to feel overwhelmed. I opened all the others 😂
