@Miranda thank you so much Miranda. I was planning to just use it once and then clean it after every use so I guess I won't bother with the hot shot method and just follow the instructions and use hot water
Much better way to use it as you don’t need to sterilise it this way.. if your a new mum and baby is feeding every 2/3 hours and you are out you won’t be able to sterilise it and therefore won’t be able to use it again or you will need multiple Nuby’s. I’ve always used the hot shot method.
@Elena what is the hot shot method please?
@Louise pour boiling water into your bottle so I use 210ml I then pour the boiling water into the nuby leaving around 30ml in the bottle, pour your scoops into the 30ml and swirl, once nuby is showing green pour the hot water back into the bottle and swirl again. This way the nuby never has to be sterilised as formula doesn’t go in there x
I have 2 so once I make a bottle I wash it out quickly and throw it in the milton steriliser. Once my baby has finished her bottle I get it out (they need to stay in 15 mins) so then when I make her next bottle I use the other and do the same thing because they need 3 hours between using to reset. My girl is 5 months now and I’ve been using it that way since she was about 1 month and it works great for me because I don’t trust the hot shot method 😂 the times I did try it it wasn’t cool enough 🤦🏼♀️ so I just stick with what I know 😊
it's so that you can use the nuby more than once due to the use of formula in the bottle and then you don't have to wash it. Personally I think it's easier to use it as it was designed because I only use it for 1 use while we are out anyway. If your out any longer I'd just take a flask and the formula. The nuby is designed to cool the hot water to the right temperature almost immediately
